“But godliness with contentment is great gain”.
(1 Timothy 6:6).
How long will we defer the divine assignment in pursuit of our own goals? How much more time do we need before we respond to the divine call? How much “money” can you make to be satisfied? You will realize, our quest for money and material things in life should not be a hindrance in fulfilling the will of our Heavenly Father. On the contrary, we receive true satisfaction when we do the will of our Father.
In our Bible Text, Paul said to Timothy that, “godliness with contentment is great gain”: “For we brought nothing into the world and it is certain we can carry nothing out”. The best way to live our lives is to be Kingdom-minded people, studying and meditating on the Word and always praying. Always ask God for the spirit of contentment in alignment to His Will. Contentment is the solution to greed and covetousness. Divine contentment also makes God give you more.
Always be grateful to God and be content with what God has given you so far. People who are content always attract more testimonies from God. Being content does not necessarily mean settling for less but serves as an eradication of greed, covetousness and rapacity.
Prayer: Dear God, may I be in pursuit of You and fulfill Your divine will in Jesus Name. Amen!
Bible Text: 1 Timothy 6:6-7.
Daily Lesson: Always be content and seek God.
